The situation in the temporary hospital in Ciechocinek is still difficult. The facility, opened two weeks ago, has not been accepting new patients for several days. It turned out that, in addition to the coronavirus, the admitted patients contracted a dangerous antibiotic-resistant bacterium.
Admissions to the temporary hospital in Ciechocinek are still suspended and it is not known when they will be resumed. The study also confirmed infection with the New Delhi bacterium in three COVID-19 patients. One of the patients diagnosed with both microorganisms died. She is an elderly woman and, according to doctors, the main cause of death was severe COVID-19.
The second patient with the New Delhi bacterium was transported to a hospital in Toruń, and the third is in a serious condition on a respirator, so it will be necessary to wait for his transfer to another facility where he could be treated without fear of infecting other people.
– After his transport, we will be able to resume admission to the temporary hospital – Adrian Mól, the spokesman of the voivode, told us.
They banned themselves earlier
