An amendment to the regulation was published in the Journal of Laws, which extends the restrictions until April 18. Restrictions were introduced due to a significant number of coronavirus infections and deaths as a result of COVID-19.
The amendment to the regulation on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the outbreak of the epidemic extends the restrictions throughout the country until Sunday, April 18.
Changes to restrictions
Several changes were introduced in the amendment. For example, people employed in aviation medical rescue teams were added to the group of professions exempt from compulsory quarantine when crossing the state border.
The provision regarding the availability of swimming pools, aquaparks, gyms, clubs and fitness centers for athletes was also changed. In the new wording, this type of place will be available to members of the national team of Polish sports associations in Olympic sports, as well as players preparing for the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games or the Deaf Games. It also specifies in which cases competitions can be organized.
Still, until April 18, the current restrictions in the operation of many industries are in force. They can’t work large-format furniture and construction stores with an area of more than 2,000 sq m will remain. Shopping centers and galleries – as now – will remain closed, with the exception of: grocery stores, pharmacies and drugstores, press salons, bookstores. There are person limits in commercial establishments at the market or post office.
Hairdressing and beauty salons – will remain closed.
In places of religious worship There will still be a limit of people – there must be 20 square meters per person. The obligation to cover the mouth and nose remains the same, as well as keeping a distance of 1.5 m from other people.
Nurseries and kindergartens will still be closed. The exception is caring for children of medical workers and law enforcement services (including soldiers, police and fire brigades). Also students of all classes primary schools, secondary schools, listeners continuing education institutions and vocational training centers they will continue to learn remotely.
Closed are, among others gyms, fitness clubs, ski slopes, swimming pools, saunas and solariums.
Hotels remain closed in most cases (except for workers’ hotels, as well as facilities for e.g. medics, road transport drivers or soldiers).
They’ll still be closed theaters, cinemas, museums and art galleries.
The amendment to the regulation will enter into force on Friday.
