Next week, over 1.7 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 will be delivered to Poland, informed Michał Kuczmierowski, president of the Government Strategic Reserves Agency. Johnson & Johnson’s formulation will be significantly reduced. – Vaccination points should postpone some of the patients scheduled for vaccination into the following weeks – head of RARS.
– A delivery of Moderna vaccines has just arrived in Poland. That’s about 250,000 doses. The doses have already been delivered to wholesalers and vaccination points, the president of the Governmental Strategic Reserves Agency announced on Saturday afternoon.
He calculated that vaccine deliveries are planned next week:
– Comirnaty (made by Pfizer / BioNTech) on Monday – 1.2 million doses, – on Tuesday COVID-19 Vaccine Janssen (produced by Johnson & Johnson) – 136 thousand, – on Wednesday, Vaxzevria (produced by AstraZeneca) – 165 thousand, – on Friday or Saturday COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna (Moderna producer) – about 250,000.
Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Supply Reduced
Kuczmierowski said that the supply of Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be smaller than planned. Initially, it was supposed to be over 370,000 doses, and 136,000 will come.
– There will be (almost) 240,000 less than announced. According to the manufacturer, the reason is the waiting for the EMA decisions on the admission to the market of preparations from the American production line on the EU market – he explained.
At the same time, he emphasized that the manufacturer has declared to complete the deliveries by the end of May, but this means a lot of confusion for vaccinations this week. – The agency informed points about this problem from Wednesday. They should postpone some of the patients scheduled for vaccination for the next weeks, he said.
