Depression is a dangerous, long-term disease that can affect anyone. According to the World Health Organization, depressive difficulties will be the most common disease in the world in 2030. Currently, about 350 million people struggle with it. In Poland – according to the National Health Fund data – 3.8 million people bought antidepressants in 2019. However, experts point out that due to the widespread stigmatization of mental difficulties, not all those in need ask for help. And if left untreated, depression can be fatal.
