I am very happy with the declaration of Donald Tusk. His experience and political knowledge must be used by the opposition – said Borys Budka, chairman of the Civic Platform, in TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach”, referring to the words of Tusk, who was previously a guest of TVN24. In Budka’s opinion, the recipe for victory with the United Right is a strong and united opposition bloc.

On Friday, the former premiere in the TVN24 program “Tak jest” Donald Tusk was asked if he would return to Polish politics when his term as president of the European People’s Party ends in 2022. – When it comes to the presence of a different type, my political activity, political role in the future, I will certainly not run away from it. I will do everything in my power, certainly before the elections in Poland, to help win and restore normality and democracy in Poland, he said.

“I am very pleased with this unequivocal declaration”

PO leader Borys Budka referred to his words in “Fakty po Fakatch”. As he said, before Christmas he had a “good conversation for several hours” with Tusk on this matter. – We talked about politics, about the future, about what could happen in the United States, but most of all we focused on Poland – he revealed.

In Budka’s opinion, “undoubtedly, Donald Tusk’s experience and political knowledge must be used by the opposition.” – I am very pleased with this unequivocal declaration, because it is important to pursue the common goal of a common opposition list, a joint election, said the head of the Civic Platform. He specified that it would be best if it was a common list of all opposition parties.

– The European elections showed that if someone stays on the sidelines, unfortunately it lowers the election result – he indicated.

“Only strong blocks are able to compete with other strong blocks”

As he pointed out, the electoral system in Poland shows that “only strong blocks are able to compete with other strong blocks”. – The opposition has to look for what they have in common, and there really is a lot of them – argued Budka.

As he emphasized, Tusk “has been repeating for many weeks that the recipe for victory against the populists who destroy our democracy, with the bloc of the United – the so-called – Right is a strong opposition bloc”. – The opposition won a million more votes in the elections to the Senate because it was together. This is a good omen for the future – assessed the leader of the Civic Platform.
