With his authority, knowledge and skills, Donald Tusk would be a great mediator in the opposition – stated Andrzej Olechowski, former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former finance minister and co-founder of the Civic Platform, in “Faktach po Faktach”. One of the “three tenors” – apart from Tusk and Maciej Płażyński, who died in the Smolensk catastrophe – confessed that he “believes” that Tusk will return to Polish politics. – He has already announced so many times that he will definitely come back – he assessed.
Recently, there have been reports that a specific plan for Donald Tusk’s return to the domestic political scene is being considered. The former prime minister did not deny these reports. When asked about returning to Polish politics on TVN24, he said that “mentally, emotionally, in life” he is ready to make any decision “to help reverse this very dangerous course of events for Poland”. There are reports in the public debate that Tusk could become the leader of the Civic Platform.

Former foreign minister, former head of the finance ministry and co-founder of the Civic Platform, Andrzej Olechowski, admitted in Saturday’s “Fakt after Faktach” on TVN24 that he would like the current head of the European People’s Party to return to Polish politics. – I believe it because he has announced so many times that he will definitely come back. And in what role, it will not be me who will decide – he said.
He pointed out that the former Polish prime minister “is today the honorary chairman of the Platform”. “Whether he will want to exercise an executive function, I have no idea,” he said.
– With his authority, knowledge and skills, he would be a great mediator in the opposition, who would organize cooperation with the entire opposition. It would be a role tailored to its dimensions – assessed Olechowski. According to him, Tusk was such a mediator when he headed the European Council. – He found consensus among various interests and positions – explained Olechowski.
