Fortunately, not everyone in Poland has forgotten. For example, Piotr Bratkowski has not forgotten. His text in “Newsweek” gave me great joy. Bratkowski wrote a memoir about Andrzej Osęka, who died a few weeks ago. While mentioning this name, I realized with sadness that it was necessary to explain who Osęka was. Bratkowski felt the same and wrote: “I realized the dramatic generation gap between the generation that survived at least a piece of the People’s Republic of Poland and those who know People’s Poland only by hearing”.
