Krzysztof Krawczyk is dead. The legend of the Polish music scene, the artist known from the hits “Parostatek” or “Drawing on glass” was 74 years old.
Krzysztof Krawczyk was hospitalized on Monday after he suddenly collapsed. He died in the afternoon, his manager Andrzej Kosmala told tvn24.pl. The artist’s manager added that he learned about Krawczyk’s death from his family.
On Facebook, Kosmala also posted a short post. “Krzysztof Krawczyk has died. RIP” – he wrote.
A legend of the Polish music scene
Krzysztof Krawczyk was one of the most famous baritones in Poland. From 1963 to 1973 and in 1976 he was the vocalist of the band Trubadurzy. He began his solo career in 1973. He gave concerts not only in Poland, but also in many places around the world. In his work, he was inspired by pop, blues, soul, jazz, rock and roll, but also country music. He had over 40 albums to his credit.
“Parostatek”, “Drawing on glass” or “It’s hard to do” – a track recorded with Edyta Bartosiewicz – are one of his most famous hits.

Has passed COVID-19. On Saturday he left the hospital
On Saturday, the singer informed that he had left the hospital and returned home after treatment resulting from the coronavirus infection. He then thanked the fans for their prayers and wishes. “Let’s not give in to the virus,” he appealed.
Krawczyk announced on March 23 that he was hospitalized with COVID-19. He spent almost two weeks there. “Unfortunately, I got COVID” – he wrote and added: “I have to take up a fight, one more fight in my life”. From the hospital bed, he asked his fans to pray. “If I feel better I’ll be in touch soon!” – he promissed.
