The police explain the circumstances of the drowning of a small child who was cared for by his grandfather. A helicopter took them to a hospital in Szczecin.
– On Saturday, a one-and-a-half-year-old child fell into the Rega River in Łobez near allotments. It was transported by a LPR helicopter to a hospital in Szczecin – Commissioner Magdalena Rymszewicz from the District Police Headquarters in Łobez told us.
The incident took place on Saturday at approx. 13.
The one-and-a-half-year-old child fell into the river under the care of his grandfather. – The child was flooded before his grandfather pulled him out of the water. It swam about 100 meters downstream and was taken out of the river near the ambulance station – said Rymszewicz.
She reported that the baby was in a stable condition. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
