The March for Life and Family passed through the streets of Warsaw on Sunday. This year its participants marched under the slogan “Let’s defend the family together”. – This is an opportunity to demonstrate pro-family attitudes, as well as our commitment to pro life values - said the organizer of the demonstration, the president of the Center for Life and Family, Paweł Ozdoba. President Andrzej Duda joined the march.
The march set off at noon from Plac Zamkowy in Warsaw and an hour later reached the Basilica of St. Cross at Krakowskie Przedmieście, where a holy mass is planned.
“It was a beautiful march with the participation of the president”
President Andrzej Duda participated in the Sunday march. Barbara Nowak, the curator of education in Małopolska, was also among the participants.
“We are already in front of the Holy Cross Church! It was a beautiful March with the participation of President Andrzej Duda. Thank you for your presence!” – wrote at 1 p.m. on Twitter, the president of the Life and Family Center, Paweł Ozdoba.
“We want to show the great value of the family”
Earlier, Ozdoba said that “each year, the March for Life and Family is an opportunity to manifest pro-family attitudes, as well as our commitment to pro life values”.
– We want to show the great value of family, marriage and the right to life from conception to natural death. Today we find ourselves in a situation where the family is really in danger, he said. He also talked about “serious threats posed by dangerous, radical ideologies, which today appear very ostentatiously on the streets of Polish cities.”
– Due to recent incidents and attacks on Christian values by left-wing activists, the demonstration also takes the form of an appeal this year to the authorities to amend the law and prevent profanation and insulting religious and national symbols – he said.
