On Wednesday, high school graduates will take the compulsory written exam in mathematics at the basic level. In the afternoon, there will be an exam in the history of music. It is not obligatory. The history of music is one of the so-called elective courses.
High school graduates must take three written examinations at the basic level: in Polish, mathematics and a modern foreign language. There are no compulsory oral exams this year. Only those who need the result of the oral exam when enrolling at universities abroad will be admitted.
High school graduates will take the obligatory written exam in mathematics at the basic level on Wednesday at 9.00.
Next week there will be an exam at the advanced level
There is also no obligation this year to take an exam in one subject at the extended level, i.e. an exam in an optional subject. Volunteers may take examinations in a maximum of six such subjects.
The group of subjects to choose from includes mathematics at the advanced level. The advanced math exam will be held next week on Tuesday.
In order to pass the high school diploma, the graduate student must obtain a minimum of 30 percent of the points in the compulsory exams. The result of the exam in the subject of your choice has no effect on obtaining the secondary school-leaving examination certificate, it is used only for recruitment to studies.
Written exams will last until May 20. The oral examination session will start on May 19 and will last until May 21. The results of the matura exam will be announced on July 5.
