Polish order. Artur Soboń and Izabela Leszczyna on tax increases in the new PiS program

I do not remember that in 2019 PiS, when going to the elections, said that it would raise taxes. (…) And in fact this is the Polish Order and this is what Poles will feel the most – said Izabela Leszczyna, a member of the Civic Coalition in “Faktach po Faktach”. Deputy Minister of State Assets Artur Soboń from Law and Justice said that “it is crucial for the government that, thanks to the Polish Deal, the economy will grow by five percent of GDP this year”.

On Saturday, the United Right convention was held at which the program was presented Polish Deal. It assumes, among other things, increasing expenditure on health care, increasing the tax-free amount or retirement pension to PLN 2,500, tax-free.

Deputy Minister of State Assets Artur Soboń from Law and Justice and MP Izabela Leszczyna from Koalicja Obywatelska, former deputy finance minister spoke about the assumptions of the new socio-economic PiS program in TVN24’s “Fakty po Faktach”.

She also assessed that it was a “great fraud by PiS and the entire United Right”. – Because I do not remember that in 2019 PiS, on the way to the elections, said that it would raise taxes by nine percent, that it would raise taxes for entrepreneurs and people employed under an employment contract. I do not remember it in the election campaign, and in fact this is what the Polish Order is all about and this is what Poles will feel the most – she assessed.

Deputy Minister Soboń said that “we treat social transfers as part of the state policy”. – It is crucial for us that, thanks to the Polish Deal, the economy will grow by five percent of GDP this year, and by as much as six percent of GDP in the next year. This is what the whole investment system we have proposed is for, he said.

– On the other hand, from our point of view, the growing state incomes should be shared fairly and those incomes should benefit those who are in a more difficult financial situation today, and above all Polish families – he added.
