Everything happened on Wednesday (July 21) after 9 p.m. on Lwowska Street in Tomaszów Lubelski (Lubelskie Voivodeship). A 30-year-old resident of the Lubycza Królewska commune, driving the Audi, stopped in front of the crossing to let two women pass.
– As pedestrians were descending from the road to the sidewalk, an Audi that stopped before the crossing was struck by another Audi, with the 26-year-old behind the wheel. Also a resident of the Lubycza Królewska commune – says senior sergeant Małgorzata Pawłowska from the County Police Headquarters in Tomaszów Lubelski.
The 26-year-old had blood taken for tests
Preliminary findings of police officers show that the 26-year-old may have been intoxicated. – Due to the fact that he refused to undergo a breathalyser test, blood was taken from him for testing – emphasizes the policewoman.
Pedestrians can speak of great happiness. If they moved a little slower, they could get hit. – In this type of event, the force of the impact causes the vehicle to inertly move – emphasizes Sergeant Sgt. Pawłowska.
