They detained eight people, liquidated the methamphetamine laboratory, and seized equipment and precursors for its production. Among the detainees are two chemists responsible for the production of the drug. The laboratory was hidden under a dog pen.

Iwona Jurkiewicz, spokeswoman for the Central Police Investigation Bureau, announced on Friday that officers from the office were involved in the activities carried out in Zgorzelec and nearby towns, and that they were supported by police officers from Wrocław and the Lower Silesian National Tax Administration.
During the operations, the laboratory where methamphetamine was produced was closed. The policemen found the entrance to the drug factory while checking the utility rooms in one of the properties they searched. The hatch was hidden in a dog kennel. – A specialized drug production system, as well as cooling and ventilation of the facility were built there. The officers secured the synthetic drug production line, and also seized, inter alia, laboratory vessels and over 200 liters of various chemicals that can be used to produce drugs – Jurkiewicz reported.

Police officers detained eight people, including two chemists responsible for the production of methamphetamine. Drugs, including methamphetamine, amphetamine and marijuana, were secured. A “firearm unit”, ammunition, telescopic batons, knives, machetes and elements of police equipment were seized, incl. handcuffs or light and sound signaling. – These items could be used to commit crimes – said a spokeswoman for the Central Bureau of Investigation of the State Treasury.
The prosecutor of the Lower Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław presented the detainees with accusations of participation in an organized criminal group, as well as the production and marketing of significant amounts of drugs in Poland. Five people were arrested by the court. The others are under police supervision, property guarantees, and they are also forbidden to contact each other.
The offenses charged with suspects are punishable by up to 15 years’ imprisonment.
The Press Department of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that the activities carried out recently are “a continuation of the investigation into an organized criminal group smuggling drugs from the Netherlands to Poland and other European Union countries and selling them”. Members of a disrupted criminal group were producing methamphetamine called “piko.”
